Music Review - The Penny Arcade Quartet!

I've decided to expand my Blog. I'm aware i haven't been active for a while and i apologise for it, i'm finding the time to get back to it and keep posting and analysing Literature texts for A level or GCSE subjects.
Now i'm going to review albums and songs that have been newly released, giving me a chance to promote new music and learn about new bands. Today's Band is The Penny Arcade Quartet!
Penny Arcade are a barber shop quartet made up of Daniel, Alex, Matt and Charlie with popular mash ups such as 'Staying a Survivor (Staying alive and I'm a survivor)' and 'Lets Get Ignited (Lets get it on (Marvin Gaye) and Ignition (R.Kelly))'. However, they have just released their Debut album 'Colours of You'. So far they have only uploaded a couple of songs off their album but their first original song 'A Thousand Colours' is absolutely fantastic! Similar to Mumford and Sons and a real taste of what four young voices can give you. Although this song has other instruments in it, it's a chance for the guys to show the quality of their voices and harmonies and the tone each one of them carries. If you haven't listened to it, i strongly advise that you do : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Zb68-3lj5w
Feel free to leave comments and thoughts in reply to this post. Something different being offered to the music industry is great and i think these guys deserve the success and opportunity their album offers. Classic hits such as L.O.V.E are also featured on this record and a version of Ed Sheeran's 'A Team' in four part harmony is also offered. When you have a bad day or need some time to relax, there's nothing better suited than to sit down with your headphones and listen to the mellow tones from this group, they capture emotion and imagination and are definitely worth following on their YouTube channel and supporting! Great Job guys, can't wait to hear the rest of your album and keep up the hard work!

Next up and I know that it has been a while-
Is Olly Murs.
Olly Murs performed his new song 'Hand on Heart', from his fourth studio album, Right place, right time.
I know that his album hasn't actually been released yet but I can still talk about Hand on Heart. It had a nice relaxing feel to it brought about by the almost acoustic elements of it. This is definitely a heart felt song right from the soul but as a lot of singers like Ed Sheeran favour this style of singing it is difficult to assess whether or not it will reach number one. A lot of people, especially those trying to get into the pop section of the music industry are bored sick of the love songs that are especially associated with 'The Script'. It almost provokes the reaction 'Just man up and get on with it'.
Olly's voice has the ability to make it into something peaceful and relaxing to listen to. You don't want to vomit at the thought of it and you can feel the emotion expressed in the song. This song would also be great for choral singers looking to do covers. A four part harmony version of this song would be fantastic.
